Building a wardrobe that is both versatile and on-style is not a walk in the park 🙁
I edit my wardrobe every season – both in positive and negative ways. Dumping and adding. And honestly, I do more dumping than I’d like to admit. But, when you’re building your wardrobe you have to be honest.
You have to be honest about what you love and what you don’t.
When I took out my clothes recently to separate them into piles, there was a glaring colour scheme in the, “really love,” pile. Camel, navy, white, black, and grey.
So, when I went shopping to add some pizzazz to my wardrobe for spring, this sleeveless trench in camel from White House Black Market seemed like the perfect addition 🙂
I was in a “warm weather” type of mood when I created this outfit. So, I was channelling things that reminded me of the upcoming seasons i.e. navy and nautical 😉
I’m usually not into stripes but I was feeling it today. So I pulled out this RW&CO top I hadn’t worn in a while and paired it with these RW&CO denim-inspired cropped pants that I have been wearing on repeat.
*Similar items have been linked below along with great alternatives for this sleeveless trench.
In the warmer seasons, I also gravitate towards clothing that moves – like this sleeveless trench.
You may have noticed – do you have a good eye? – but I shot with a different photographer for this shoot. Her name is Alora Rachelle and, like all my photographers, I found her on Instagram 🙂
Out of all the photographers I have worked with, her and I click the best. #twinning is the only way I can describe it. We’re both really blunt so I felt like we could speak on the same wavelength.
It was a struggle shooting because, prior to this outfit, we were shooting at two restaurants that I have coming up soon on the blog. And I underestimated the time it would take for food to come out! 👿
Now that it’s April, I’m thinking a lot about Paris. I even started a Pinterest board.
I’ve been thinking about the content I want to create and how I’m going to go about pulling it off.
I’ll be discovering Paris with my boyfriend, attending my cousin’s wedding, and simultaneously trying to shoot content that I want to create for you guys. It’s going to be tough because they all make me happy.
Wish me luck! And stay tuned for the Paris stuff coming up in May to June 😉
